On Feb 25, 2026, the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan organized a ceremony for Karthik's 'installation' as the Arthur B. Modine Professor of Engineering. These types of events are quite meaningful for our community as we have family, current and former students and colleagues, in attendance and reflect on various things. For Karthik, it was an opportunity to celebrate the people and culture behind this collaborative achievement. Oddly enough, the ceremony was exactly 13 years to the day that Karthik arrived in Ann Arbor for his interview.
