We are a "full-stack" computational modeling group. We build models of real-world problems and we develop theory, algorithms and approaches to enable the construction of such models. Our research includes innovations in physics-based modeling, mathematical formalisms, statistical inference, AI, and numerical methods. Our work targets applications at a fundamental level (e.g. analyzing basic physical phenomena) all the way to a system-level setting (e.g. digital twins)
We increasingly frame our work as constituting Computational Intelligence
Prof. Duraisamy is also the Director of the Michigan Institute for Computational Discovery & Engineering (MICDE)
